Sorry....I just checked on these responses. I have to take my son on Wed to put the crawford stent in as well. Tell me what that was like after he had it in. Did he ever pull it out? How was he after general anesthesia? I'm real nervous about that part more than anything, but we can't keep getting pussy infected eyes...oh boy. I would love to hear more on your story if you get time. Thanks. Erin in Houston

When my son was young he had clogged tear ducts, he had the tube put in and then taken out, it was very effective, he never had a problem after that. It was also a pretty simple procedure and he had no problems what so ever.

clogged tear duct

Ok...I haven't been on here a long time, but had some questions for you moms. I have a 13 mo old who's had a clogged tear duct since he was 3 weeks. I have done the proper massages, the antibiotic to prevent infections...etc. Long story short - a yr later & (it's not better) We're now seeing an Ophthalmologist who really feels like a stent is the most effective way to clear this up now. I realize it's not life threatening. I do think we need to help fix this problem sooner rather than later, but I have some concerns about the procedure. Has anyone had this yet....if so how did it go, was it effective? or any other advice you want to add. Thanks... Erin in Houston.
