As long as there is no history of peanut allergies in the family, there is no reason why you can't give your son peanut products. Especially after turning 1. My son's favorite meal right now is a peanut butter and jam sandwich ( picky eater). -- Mommy -30 Daddy -30 Avery - age 2 Baby #2 due Aug 16, 2008

I agree with daivids mom, I know WIC doesnt offer PB until they are 3, but I give it to my son & he just turned 2 I just dont spread it think. As far as peanuts he doesnt eat those plan. He has had peanut M&Ms but I bite them in half.

I think pbutter is okay after a year old. When my son was younger, I would cut the crust off of bread, roll it really thin and spread on a small amount of pbutter and a bit of baby fruit (instead of jelly) then roll it up and cut it into little spirals. As far as peanuts I think they would be considered a choking hazard until about 3. If you or your family has history of pnut allergy, I'd wait and check with your dr.
