It depends on who he is directing it to. I have girls that are 1 and 2 and care for boys who are 4 and 6. When they try to yell or boss me they get a time out until they are ready to talk to me nicely. When they yell at each other they get separated. With my older son though because it was just the two of us I did things a little different. I would first, refuse to do anything he told me to if he was speaking rudely. Then after the tantrum (it always came after my refusal to comply) we would talk about what he wanted and why. Then when he asked politely he would usually get what he wanted. A lot depends on the relationship between you and your child. Try it all though cause you don't want this behavior to go on too long or school years are going to be rough.

I know I have been lenient w/my son. However, lately he is yelling and a bit bossy. How do I work with him to correct it
