Do you have him on a schedule? my son would never sleep except in a car seat till i got him on a schedule. don't know if your working yet but try keeping him awake and distracted throughout the day. that worked for me, also try putting him on his side, using soft blankets. it might make him feel more comforted. hope it helps!

It probably wasn't smart on my part, but as long as my daughter would sleep, I didn't care how she did it LOL. She slept in her carseat for honestly the first 2 months she was born. But, we transferred her to her bassinet with no problems. I would try moving him when he is deeply asleep so that he wakes up in the bassinet. get him used to it. Even after my daughter was 2 months old, we would put her in the carseat and rock her to sleep and then transfer her to the bassinet. I'm not sure how he is, but my daughter liked the feeling of being cradled and that's why she was attached to the carseat, so at 6 months when she was old enough, we started using a boppy pillow in her crib and it worked wonders! Hope this helps!!!

Son likes to sleep in his car seat!

My son is 9 days old and the first 4 nights home from the hospital were very hard he would only sleep for about 1 hour to 2 hours at the most in his bassinet and his 4th night home was up screaming for hours with gas. Thank goodness for grandma and grandpa that helped save me and my husband from exhaustion that night. We went to the pediatrician that next day and he gave us some other formula to use that has gotten rid of the fussiness and gas and we changed to the playtex dropin bottles which are the best. Now the hard thing is that at night the only place he will sleep for 3 maybe 4 hours is in his carseat, which the pediatrician said is okay. I am just wondering when and how I should transition him to his bassinet. He shares a room with my 6 year old daughter so I don't want him waking her up to much and I need to get as much sleep as I can too. Any advicce would be great. Feel free to email me at leikeli@gmail.com. Thanks.
