Our child is much more likely to try new foods at the beginning of each meal when he is very hungry.
Regarding bread and cheese, have you tried grilled cheese with finely chopped veggies or meat? What about foods with similar consistency?
Or maybe start with homemade mac and cheese on bread then slowly switch to pasta with other sauces.
"Deceptively Delicious" by Jessica Seinfeld has some good ideas for getting healthy foods in dishes that toddlers enjoy.

How about freezing applesauce for a cool treat also kraft foods has a website with kid reciepes. Try veggies with ranch or carrot coins.

My precious daughter hates eating anything but cheese and bread. I swear this kid refuses anything else. I try to use healthy organics in our household. Does anyone have any idea or recipes involving healthy food besides chz & bread that might appeal to my picky toddler??
