Try reading the book "the five love languages" together as a start... Do you both agree that divorce is simply NOT an option? If you can get on that same page together that would be a great first step also. Finding a good family counselor is very helpful!
When you find yourselves fighting over "little, silly" things, that is the symptom of the actual problem. Treating the problem - even finding the problem - sometimes requires the eyes of someone who is outside of the home.
I hope that things get better for you both!
I'd also recommend watching the movie "Fireproof"...

Marriage is a new thing for both my husband and myself. Granted me being married before, it's not so new to me, but trying to actually communicate that I need him to do things, and that I need him to be there... It's hard.
We got into an arguement last night because he was obsessing over the fact we have so many ants at our house. I was wanting to clean and organise the house to get rid of the ants. Stupid arguement.
Communicating our needs to each other is hard and it's also very new. Any tips or ideas on what may help us?
