I am thinking of getting my, my husbands and my daughters zodiac symbols instead of names. I am always leary about doing names for the possibility of things changing in the future. I know I will always have my daughter, but you never know what might happen. Also the security thing scaraes me, so at least with the signs, no one will really know who the representa unless I tell them.

I actually have a tatto of my son's footprint the copy of when he had gotten his footprints taken in the hospital. I also had his birthday printed underneath I love it!!!! He is 4 now and he loves it too. I now have a 6 month old baby girl and I wanted to get something for her. My mom suggested I get her handprint and her birthday, I decided to go with a little princess crown With her name written underneath in scipt. I love it, I just wanted something uniqe and different for my 2 kids because they are tottaly two different kids. I love them both bunches and wanted their unique personalities to shine through.

I wanted the same tattoo that you are describing. I have 3 children all boys. I did get their names tattoo'd on my arm. I researched their birth flowers and have their names and their flower on both sides of it. I hope this helps. I am new to this site and figured I would reply!
Good Luck!

i've always wanted a tattoo of a blue monarch butterfly, so that's what i'm going to get, along with my daughter's name (Trinity) above it in script on my ankle.

i've seen a few people that have their children's hand prints done from when they were newborns.

the way i decided on mine was what do you think of when you think of your kids? a butterfly fit so closely with my daughter's personality.

I also want a tattoo of my kids names.I was going to get a their names made into a bracelet/anklet with flowers/roses & have the vines & stems spell out their names. But I have 4 kids & it would not fit.Because if you get the names to close they fade together over time.Let me know if anyone has any ideas.Kids names:Trevor,Jaynie,Daysie,& Reality

Being a foster parent I am very aware of the dangers out there for our kids. I have learned to not advertise your childs name as child sex predators look for that info to then get close to your kid. Since they can call your child by name, your child is more likely to respond to them even if they have not met them. I am not going to advertise my childs school or team sport number either when she gets to that age. I've seen the bad things these people do to your kids and will go to great lengths to protect my child whenever possible. I would not be so aware if I were not a foster parent. Please put any tattoo in a place that will always be covered in public, for your child's safety.

My husband has gone a bit tattoo crazy since our daughter was born! He went from no tattoos to 4, all symbolic of our daughter. He has her name (Jordyn) down his forearm, a peanut with her birth date on the shell on the inside of the same arm, her foot prints on his shoulder and an amazing black koi fish on his side. The black koi is symbolic of a father. His next tattoo is going to be a smaller pink/red koi on his other side, which is symbolic of a daughter. They really are amazing tattoos. I plan on getting an orange/red (mother) koi and a smaller pink/red koi jumping up my hip.

FYI: A blue/white koi is symbolic of a son.

I don't have my daughter's name yet, however I am going to get a picture of a baby on a half moon with her name and date of birth written below it. It is adorable!
My friend has her kids names on her wrists and it doesn't look tacky at all. She has it is script writing and it looks awesome! Mine, I want on my foot. I have seen pictures of parents that get their babies foot prints and that is really cute.

Tattoos of your children's names

Jan 31, 2009 7:51 AM

I really want a tattoo of my three kids names... but I don't want it to look tacky and tasteless. Any ideas? I was thinking of angel wings, but then I read that was more for passed away loved ones and they are very much alive thank God. I already have three different Chinese kanji on me (all in places that can be easily covered): luck, happiness and mother. Yes, I did research and I have the correct symbols and their meanings. But I didn't want the kids' names in kanji. I want it on my upper back. I know there has got to be parents out there with their kids names tattooed on them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
