I just started doing my treadmill this week and I am 27 weeks. I didn't do anything before because I just didn't feel well enough. I only walk for 20 minutes though. You can still over do it so be careful. I did my treadmill yesterday and then went to the mall with my hubby and I think I walked too much because I started having contractions last night. So be careful. It is a good idea to ask your doctor though.

The trainer at the gym i go to says he encourages women to exercise during their pregnancy. I would talk to your OB and someone at a gym.

I remember when I was pregnant I didn't do much either. When I finally decided to start doing something I found out that it was a little harder then what I thought it would be. If you can walk 15- 30 minutes a day thats great. Just remember as you near the last 4 weeks of your pregnancy pay extra attention to your body!! You don't want to over do it.

if your just talking about walking you shold be o.k. Like any other exercise plan you need to start slow and then slowly pace yourself. If you start to feel too tired or somethings just not right slow down or stop. I would suggest consulting with your OB before attempting anything of this sort though.

Beginning to Excercise at 30 weeks

I was wondering if since I've been pretty inactive so far in my pregnancy, if it was even safe to start just atleast walking on a treadmill 15-30 minutes a day. I've been pretty inactive mainly due to stress, my boyfriend went to jail when I was about 15 weeks, so since then I admit Ive been lazy. But all in all, is it safe to start now, or is it too late?
