i had a small clog and i read to position babys chin near the lump end...if that makes sense....like..mine was on the bottom left of the left breast so i did a football hold on that side. i guess it stimulates the area and helps to unclog it

Oh wow. I'm sure that really hurts. It usually happens when the breast are not being "emptied" after feedings. It's best to pump, pump, and pump some more to help ease the pain. After your baby feeds, pump both breasts so that you'll be able to get remove the milk that has built up thus causing the clogged ducts. Make sure that you have a good pump, and you can store the milk just in case you want to take some time out for yourself and maybe get a sitter for the baby. I have a Lasinoh electric double pump as well as the manual one of the same brand, and they work excellently. My daughter is almost 7 months, and in the beginning, I was having somewhat of the same problem until I started to pump.

I was having the same problem in 1 breast. My doctor told me to just make sure to empty the breast as often as possible. If my LO didn't empty the breast at a feeding, I would go and pump it until the breast was empty. After a few times of doing that, it cleared up and even help me build a great frozen milk supply. So now I have some milk frozen and plan on using that to mix with cereal once he starts that.

HTH!

I have a clogged duct and a lump thats bigger than a golf ball in my breast. It hurts sooo bad. Any suggestions besides more nursing, and hot baths.
