My daughter is now 9 months old. She did not like toys at all until about a month or so ago. However, we bought a "jumperoo" thing that you hang in the door way and she loves it! She's almost too big for it now b/c she's so tall, but I got it at a second hand baby store for 10.00 and that is the best money I've spent since she was born! It would keep her entertained for an hour at a time and it would wear her out too from all the jumping and she would sleep better. (I liked to let her jump all she wanted right before bedtime). LOL. She has even fallen asleep in the thing!

Does he enjoy when you read to him? There are other things our boy liked that weren't really "toys" - water bottles, remote controls, old cell phones, pots and pans, tupperware, etc. Essentially, stuff he saw us use that he wanted as well -- CPC Take the Baby Quiz at: www.gameswithbaby.com

My son also just turned 5 months old. He doesn't care too much about toys either, he'll chew on anything in reach. As for a schedule, we don't have one. His sleep patterns change every week. I figure that I have a year to work out a schedule before I return to work.

Are you asking about a schedule or toys? I don't enforce a schedule too rigidly with my son... but I can recommend some toys! Sounds like your son might be ready for a jumperoo type toy.. we have the FP rainforest one... but what he loves more than that is a toy by Bright Starts called Around We Go.. If your boy is crawling.. he might enjoy rolling small balls around, or little soft cars. You are right though... it seems like Mommy and Daddy are little boys' favorite toys! -- Lora-35, Joe-42 Flynn Joseph, son-born 4-7-07 www.ronpaul2008.com
