You know what..To each their own.. I have a really hectic life with myself being in school and a two year old who chooses not to sit to read a book. My mother bought this for me a few days ago, and this child who never wants to say words has said two new ones, in 2 days! He also loves the DvD, as long as mommy sits with him to watch it, and makes a positive thing of it! He loves the flash cards because there is a section that pops out with a picture and he just giggles when I pop it out, after he helps me figure the word out!

My son him self wasn't interested in the videos at all. And as for flash cards you can make them your self. My husband and I found that reading and talking to our child daily is really made him advanced for his age group in his day care. Just to let you know we read every night to him and he's 17 mos. Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried this program with successful results? I thought about purchasing this for my daughter, who is 16 months, but I'm somewhat hesitant. I found some of the videos on You Tube and sat her down to see if she'd watch them, but she doesn't seem to be interested in them. They are somewhat monotone and not very exciting, but the commercial will definitely lead you to believe that they are more engaging. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!
