31weeks and not gaining weight!
I'm getting worried, my appetite is awful, and I eat a decent amount but I'm not gaining weight. In fact the doctor said I lost 2 lbs. I weighed myself at home and discovered I lost another 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks! Is the baby in danger? Has anyone else lost weight in their 3rd trimester? My pre-pregnancy weight was 135, now I'm 148, if I don't gain the 25-30 pounds recommended will the baby be tiny and not healthy? I am sooo scared that something is wrong and my doctor is asking to see me more often now. He hasn't said anything bad, but he's telling me to rest a lot more. Any ideas on how to plump up the baby without plumping up my butt instead! I want to be fit enough to have a smooth delivery but I need to get a balance, but HOW?

Okay being only 19 and my first pregnancy i gained 20 lbs in 4 months and stopped gaining and i was soo worried and apparently if i felt the baby kick and move she was fine and she came out healthy and very active. During my second pregnancy i am going through right now i never gained anything yet i was getting bigger and bigger I went today to the doctors and i gained 2 lbs and my doctor said here is the heart beat and baby sounds healthy so if you have any concerns call your obstetrician and tell them and if you have a good one they will see you that day becuase your concerned and being concerned and worried doesnt help your baby inside you. Its just putting stress on the baby
Calm down and don't freak out =) Through my pregnancy i started out weighing 140 pounds before pregnancy, i gained a total of 9 pounds by my third trimester. then suddenly started loosing the weight. By my 38th week of pregnancy i weighed 138 pounds. I admit like you i was worried but my doctor told me not to worry the baby was measuring like she should when he measured my stomach and all. The doctor told me tho not to worry about the weightloss cause the baby was healthy, and he explained that they really don't give a recommeneded weight gain during pregnancy as long as the baby is healthy. =) When i had the baby 3 weeks ago she weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 100% healthy =), and my weight when i had her was below my prepregnancy weight. So seriously, ifthe doc aien't concerned i would say you have nothing to be concerned about =) just enjoy the last bit as much as you can of your pregnancy. and soon enough you'll be holding that lil bundle of joy.
