Oops, my last comment was for New_Mommy88!!!
Hi sweetie, I feel you and your situation. I got married Dec 08 and I am pregnant. 10 weeks and 2 days to be exact! I am nervous as crap, being that my history of pregnany hasn't been so bright. This is the longest that I have ever carried a baby! I got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat at only 7 weeks and 5 days. I cried. So how are you and the family?
I am 28 yrs old with an 11yr old and a 4mth old. I was young with my first pregnancy and it was really scary not knowing anything about having a baby. I decided to get an epidural after a long hard day of labor. I am very happy I did. But I do give any woman credit for at least trying to go natural. I did not breastfeed my first child. I did not feel comfortable. After 11yrs we decided to have another baby. Unfortunately we were told a week before our due date that he might be too large for a vaginal delivery. They told us the risks and almost demanded we have a c section. I was devastated especially only having a few days to accept it. I know this procedure is done every day but I cannot imagine why anyone would choose to do this unless it is absolutely necessary. All I can say is make sure your home is ready to accommodate you to take care of a baby in this condition. Everything went great with the scheduled delivery and I have a beautiful healthy son. I am already back to a good exercise routine and am healing fine. I did decide to try to breastfeed my son and it has been the most wonderful decision I have ever made. I admit it was extremely overwhelming to me at first but it has been such a wonderful way to bond with my son. I think every woman should at least try it. With my oldest child even though it wasn't the best situation I had family all around me and it was great having a support group. I now live in a state where I only know 2 people and it makes it hard to have even the smallest mental or physical break. It has been hard for us to make friends because we were a young family. I hope that will change now that we are getting older and are more developed in our careers and have more time for community activities. I hope my story has helped. Just be educated on your options and be willing to make changes if it is the best for your situation.Good Luck!! Hope to hear more from you.

Congrats to all of you moms and soon to be moms!!! I am 21 and have been married a month! wooo!! haha. I am 16 weeks pregnant and boy is it different. Its such a neat experience but when you cant feel the baby moving its kind of like it isnt really happening. Anyways on the whole epidural thing im all for it. I work in the ob department going on my second year and i have just seen the difference. Like gabbymonique said i do respect women that have it natural. But with it being my first i think that i want it to be pretty easy going. So epidural for me! I havent personally seen much side effects other than a back ache. That is just my opinion. The whole experience in itself is amazing though.
WHAT A MIRACLE!
Hi - Congrats!!! I'm 27 and engaged to be married in October. I'm 36 wks pregnant with my first baby and i'm reallly excited :8} I haven't had any morning sickness either and I really didn't have any mood swings. Like you, I just got really tired. The worst thing for me is the waiting - lol. I'm so impatient and so anxious for my little boy to be here that i'm counting the days. At first I said that I wanted to go natural and i've been watching A Baby Story on TLC and so I changed my mind and decied to have an epidural. Although, hearing the lady at the top who said she had the spinal headaches kind of scares me a little. I definely respect any woman who can go natural!!! It seems really tough. So i've decided that i'm just going to let things happen naturally and if I progress to fast to have anything then so be it. If not, depending on the pain, I am going to have and epidural or demmorol.
Hi All
this is my first time on here so iam very new at this. Iam 35 and iam pregnant for the second time, My son is nearly 11 years old ( i know a big age differece) He is very excited to finally have a well we just found out today we are having a boy. :^O Iam 20 weeks along now due in november. I think iam more relaxed this preganacy than i was this my first son. Even though it has been a long time I just feel more comfortable. Also i am in a better place ( I am divorced from my sons father) This is my boyfriends first child. It was a surprise preganacy but we both felt we are not getting any younger so what the heck!!!!
Well Congrats To you!!!! i am 25 , Been marreid for 5 years And I have a two in half year old little girl!!! I chose not to get any of the epidurals or spinals, All I had was a cc of Staydol . I wasnt a long labor or a bad one either, It all depends on how much you can handle pain wise and how long your labor is, I chose not to because I didnt want my baby to be groggy and I was told that sometimes they are. I also chose to breast feed because I felt like thats what I should do, you will know when you give birth if you will want to or not but I suggest that you may try it to see if you will be able to, Some people just cant, Either it doesnt feel right to them or they dont produce the milk like they should. I hope that this maybe helped you or any one in some way
Congrats! I'm 24 and have been married a little over 2 years. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and my due date is Jan 6th! I've also been pretty lucky so far and haven't been sick, just tired but that's been getting better too.
Hello ladies. I am a just a little older than you both, but I have had both C-section and VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean) experiences. My oldest one was a C-section. It was a little traumatic, but necessary given that his head was too big to fit in the birth canal. With my second, he was born vaginally but I was given an episiotomy without my knowledge, developed a spinal headache- that's the headache you get when the needle is pushed too far into your epidural space, and had every medical/nursing student imaginable in my room. (Needless to say I was NOT happy!) Third time around, I went with a midwife. Best experience I had. Even though I was given an epidural, most of my labor progressed at home. ( I thought I was just having indigestion from the fried fish I had hours before! ) That being said, stay informed on all aspects of pregnancy/ childbirth. Ask lots of questions. If you don't get an answer, get a second opinion. Read up on all the different types of birth. Most of all stay positive! Hope this helps! :)
Hi! congrats! ..I am 21 and like you was just married in July of 08! I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and my due date is December 7th! It is hard finding people our age to talk to about being first time moms so i look foward to hearing more about what others are going through!! i haven't had any morning sickness or cravings, i feel pretty good!! ..I do find myself worrying alot about labour and when the baby first arrives and would like to hear some opinions on breast feeding and epidurals.
