Christmas is coming!
My daughter has been with her daycare since March of this year now. I love it. Absolutely love it! However, christmas is upon us and we have barely enough money to get presents for the family. What kind of gifts do you give the daycare teachers? They are so wonderful that I have to do something. Please give me any ideas you have.

well if you would like to cut the cost of paying some one eas to bake or make some thing try this buy an inexbssive basket or decotive tin and bake cookies or make a candy or even have your chidren help you with this idea if there old enoug to i make my own baked goods and candy every year and give them as gifts hope this hels u out god bless you and your family and happy hoidays
i never have enough money with being a mother of 3 about to be a mother of four.My Job pays little, and when there is nothing else for me to give i create beautiful cards that are kind of custom made to each individual. Teachers like to feel apreciated for the job that they do for our kids, and a few kind words can go a long way. I keep stickers and ribons from my scrap books and i utalize this and other cute accesories to make the cards look adorable. Simple things are wonderful.
Money is tight for us this year too, im expecting my first and the extra money will go to the baby. I have a very basic slipper pattern and am making slippers for all the kids in the family. as for the grown ups, i am making tea baskets, lavender tea, made with lavender i harvested, and anise tea again from the garden. I will put 2 tea cups, cheap at ikea, in a little wood tray(dollar store, theres alll kinds of materials and shapes to pick from.)
-?-tea recipe; 2 tbsp of black tea(loose) to 1 tbsp of lavender, or anise.
add a tea ball to the basket, and perhaps honey with a wooden honey spoon.

or if you want to do something the kids can help with, make a picture frame, cut a 2 rectangles out of cereal box, one with a second rectangle hole cut, pad with tissue or cotton, and wrap it in fabric, or wrapping paper, recycle an old sweater, have the kids rip peices of colored papers,
be creative!
good luck!
Hi
We had no money either at one time.
I took the cildren out and we collected sticks and cut these to 4 inch lengths. We then took string and wound it around the first stick and then over under the next until we had a four inch square; we tied it off and repeated the procedure down the middle and down the edge.
We created six in total; these were the coasters.
The following poem was written out
Here is a little spot to place your drink to save you work when you just want not to think!
Other remaining sticks were cut to ten inch lengths and bundled with a ribbon in groups of ten. Each peson recieved two bundles with the following instructions.
Hand Jacks
Place one stick on the back of your hand toss up turn hand over and catch. If you succeed do it with two and then three and more. Next friend tries to beat your total.
Relax and have fun!!
Another gift consisted of a home made trivet braided from old shirts, wound and sewn into a circle.
The kids enjoyed the crafts and the teachers and friends enjoyed the effort of the kids to create something special just for them.
Try baking a couple of batches of cookies, wrap them up in a nice basket, which you can usually get pretty cheap at most craft stores or even dollar stores around the holidays. Then I'd attatch a nice heart felt note. Some of the best gifts do not have to be expensive. I bake cookies for a lot of people as gifts for the holidays. It saves them the time baking and they can offer them to unexpected guests dropping into their home around the holidays in a pinch. Then they will think of you when they do offer them to guests and really appreciate the effort you went through.Even if you're not a great baker, get the cookies in the dairy section that you just have to cut and bake, or cheat by getting them from the bakery!
