For a shower that I did for a friend of min, what we did was on the invitation we told everyone to bring a pack of diapers or wipes. If you brought diapers you got 2 tickets and 1 ticket for wipes. Then you draw a name for a prize, like a raffle. It was a neat idea and her kitchen was literally FULL of diapers!
My sisters threw me a wonderful shower.
The one idea that everyone thought was great is...
my sister made tiny diapers and pinned them on people when they came in the door (each diaper had that person's name on it)....then, at the end of the party....my sister said, "What smells in here? Does someone smell a poopy diaper?"....and the everyone opened their diaper to see who had the "messy" one...that person won a prize! (she just used a chocolate bar to make the "mess") ;) The mini diapers were super cute!

Also, guessing prices of baby items...whomever is the closest in price wins.

Another cute touch was these tiny little babies bought at Michaels and put into ice cubes...when your ice cube melted in your cup, your baby would appear and would either be a boy or girl. There were small prizes for those who had a boy and those who had a girl.

Hope this helps :)
actually I have been wondering the same thing so if you get a good ideas please lets me be the first to know.:)
I always liked the one where you melt the candy bars in a diaper and people have to try and guess what candy bar it is. Some people really get into it and start smelling and even tasting the diapers! We used candy such as hershey's, M&M's, snickers, mounds, etc.

We also had a diaper cake that had baby items pinned or stuck into it. It was placed in the center of the food table and then later was taken away and people had to try and recall all the things on the cake.

Another game we played involves dad. Dad was blind folded and had to dress a baby doll from top to bottom. Diaper, onsie, shorts, t-shirt, socks, bonnet or hat.Hilarious!
I just went to one Saturday and played a couple I had never done before.
1) it was a take off of Bingo. She had baby items listed on a bingo type board. The mom-to-be pulled items out of a basket and called them out and then ppl marked them off their list.
2) We had to hold a baby doll in one arm, phone between our ear and shoulder then fold a pile of newborn clothes LOL You had 1 minute to do it.
3) We had to match or come up with baby names by couples on TV. That was sorta hard but so much fun trying to remember baby names of kids
hi babyshower have you heard of measuring the belly? also at my babyshower i was told to walk out of the room and everyone at the shower was handed a piece of paper and was told to write down everything about me as to what i had on, earrings, hairstyle, shoes, accesories, etc.. the person who had the most right won!!
I have played a fun game before where you take several jars of baby food. Number each jar, then make a list of what number jar is what type of food. This list is your answer key.
Remove the labels from the jars.
Each player gets a piece of paper and pencil. The jars of baby food are then passed around, and the guests have to guess what type of baby food is in each jar.
Save the labels to re attach later.
Here's a fun one. All you need is a clear container or I bought a huge baby bottle at party city, make a label saying...."Guess how much and win ALL". During the party pass you container around ask for everyone to put in change, dollars or what ever they choose. Have some one count when your done collecting and then go around asking everyone how much money they think is in the container. Whom ever wins of course wins "ALL" except to their surprise it's "ALL Detergent"!!!! Give the winner thier prize and then announce that all the money that was collected will be put in the baby's first piggy bank.

go to yeahbaby.com there is this one game on there where you associate a candy bar or candy with a meaning for it like...twin boys would be mike and ikes candy, baby girl-baby ruth, epidurals-lifesavers...and so on. you might have to look but that is where i got it from for my sisters babyshower and everyone loved it. best part, the candy or chocolate is the prize!
It's not really a game...but we did it at my baby shower and i will cherish them forever...you print pieces of paper...the first part has lines for each of your guest to write well guess....the

sex:
weight
length:
date of birth:

the bottom part says

messages/ adivce for mommy-to-be

(they need a place to write their name too, because you'll want to know what it is...)

when they finish writing they put them in an envelope and seal it. you don't get to the read them until you are in the hospital or wherever you give birth, during your labor. its relaxing, takes you mind off the pain, and some of them are very funny guesses.

if you are having a c-section or some other kind of situation where you can't read them when you are in labor, you will always have them after the birth, and they will be equally entertaining..

the best part is getting all the advice from the moms and dads who have already been through having a baby!

I hope this helps. Let us know how your baby shower goes !!
Hi There
For my shower we took red string and baby pins or big safety pins and made a necklace for everyone that was attending. Then everytime someone said baby you got to take there necklace and at the end of the party the person with the most necklaces around there neck won a prize. Also if you have 3 necklaces and you say baby you still only have to give up one necklace not all of them.
I also thought i was fun to take all the labels off the baby food jars and have everyone try to guess what each one is the sweet potato carrot or all the orange ones are hard. Just number the jars and hand out paper to everyone. Have fun!!!
for my baby shower and other family members that I've attended, one of the games was trying to pick a name for the baby but we put other names in the hat as well. the secret is to put the name you've chosen first and see what others can come up with. for my baby we came up with "Jacori Immanuel" & "Jacori Isaac" and we also came up with Jacobi' and other unique names. but i hope this one helps. it helped me and it was a surprise to the family because this was the perfect time to let them know what i was having!!!!!!
